Thelio Io Hardware

Thelio-Io Board

This board design provides a SATA backplane for four drives, and an AVR microcontroller running open source firmware that controls two fans and one power button.

  • 1 Molex power input
  • 4 SATA data inputs
  • 4 SATA power and data outputs
  • USB 1.1 AVR microcontroller (ATmega32U4)
  • Male USB header
  • Reprogrammable over USB DFU
  • 4 pin intake fan
  • 4 pin CPU fan input
  • 4 pin CPU fan output - Y connector to two CPU fans
  • 4 pin motherboard power button input
  • 4 pin front panel power button output

Thelio-Io-SAS Board

This board design provides a NVMe backplane for four drives.

  • 1 Molex power input
  • 4 MiniSAS-HD data inputs
  • 4 U.2 power and data outputs
