<img align="left" width="500" height="300" src="./.allspice/images/parallella_board1_400x221.gif">
## Overview
The Parallella platform is a powerful, energy-efficient, open-source, and credit-card-sized computer based on the Epiphany multicore chips developed by Adapteva. This affordable platform is tailored for developing and implementing high-performance, parallel processing applications that leverage the onboard Epiphany chip. The Epiphany 16 or 64-core chips feature a scalable array of simple RISC processors, which are programmable in C/C++. These processors are interconnected with a fast on-chip network within a single shared memory architecture.
