Trademarks And Branding

The primary Open 4-in-1 ESC 30x30 hardware design in this repository is licensed under CERN-OHL-S-2.0.

Some bundled third-party assets may carry separate upstream notices. See THIRD_PARTY.md.

That hardware license does not grant permission to use any project names, logos, packaging, product branding, or other source-identifying presentation from this repository in a way that implies official status, endorsement, certification, or authorization.

This means you may:

  • make, modify, and sell hardware based on the licensed design files, subject to the repository license
  • use factual, non-confusing descriptive statements about compatibility or design origin

This means you may not, without separate written permission:

  • present your product as an official or authorized version of this project
  • use project logos or branded packaging
  • market your product in a way that is likely to confuse customers about who made it, tested it, certified it, or supports it

Examples of descriptive use that are generally acceptable:

  • based on the Open 4-in-1 AM32 ESC design
  • compatible with the 30x30 Open 4-in-1 AM32 ESC layout

Any permission to use branding for an official product, reseller arrangement, or certification program is separate from the open hardware license.
